"No matter how elegant the dress is, if you don’t know how to wear and carry it beautifully, it’s useless”, a statement that Salma Khan lives by. Born and raised in Dubai, this Dubai-based Pakistani designer has carved a niche for herself in the UAE fashion landscape. Having established her label “Salma Khan Fashion House” in 2000, Salma has always been fascinated with fabrics, colors and creativity of fashion designing. Driven by that passion, Salma attended a Fashion Design course at Cavendish London College of Arts, to become a professional fashion designer. Today, Salma is one of the established designers in the UAE with her varied collection of Abayas, Jellabiyas, ready-to-wear, evening dresses and bridal gowns.

In 2012 Salma Khan launched her boutique “Salma Khan Fashion House” on Al Wasl Road in Dubai, and invited other designers to be part of her boutique in a bid to provide a variety of outfits to consumers as well as a location for both emerging and established designers to showcase their collections. Her vision is to be able to offer complete fashion solutions under one roof; the boutique stocks traditional Indian and Pakistani dresses and accessories as well. Salma finds her inspiration from nature, Dubai’s multicultural influences and major international fashion trends. Through her dedication, hard work and determination she continues to strive to cement her brand’s presence in this ever-changing fashion industry. Salma is a firm believer of fashion and continues to seek opportunities to showcase her collection in fashion events in UAE and abroad.
